Kobudo – Traditional Weapons Training
At the Japanese Martial Arts Academy, our Kobudo (traditional weapons) training is an integral part of our curriculum, seamlessly incorporated into both our Karate and Aikido programs.
Kobudo is the classical Okinawan art of using traditional weapons such as the bo (staff), sai, tonfa, kama, and nunchaku. Training in Kobudo develops precision, coordination, and discipline while deepening your understanding of martial arts principles.
Our Kobudo training is offered primarily on Fridays and is also practiced throughout the week as part of our Karate and Aikido sessions. Students benefit from learning how these weapons complement open-hand techniques and enhance their overall martial arts skill set.
Whether you're looking to expand your knowledge, improve your focus, or explore the roots of martial tradition, Kobudo is a powerful addition to your journey.
Join us and experience the art of weapons with tradition, control, and purpose.
